*( REPENTANCE.) Most times we wondered why we don’t see the result of our prayers. Our Lord Jesus Christ, repeated sermon was repent. ( Luke 13 : 3 & 5.) I tell you, no but unless you “REPENT” you will all likewise perish. The problem we have to this day – – holding others to the past and refusing to believe in the possibilities of transformation and rebirth. Its hard for us to see young men and women we knew as a children now serving in responsible adult roles. Moreso it’s even harder for us to see those who used to be wild and unrepentant turn to a life of righteousness and serve to others. People grow. Don’t let your opinions of others be shaped by the past. That’s what happened with the elders in Nazareth, when they saw Jesus in the synagogue. “no prophet is acceptable in his hometown” (Luke 4 :24) Don’t let how you know people or where you found them shape your opinion or impression towards them. When people were momoring and confused in their minds that “is this not the son of carpenter. That we knew his father??. Jesus said to them.” The Spirit of the Lord is on me. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim release to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed, and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord” (Luke 4: 18 – 19). What I have for you this morning is the key to your prayers answers. REPENTANCE. ( Rev 2: 22). The Lord says. Behold I will throw her on a bed of sickness, but those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of her deeds. (1 Corinthians 6 :9) Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived, neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals. ( Isaiah 55 :7) Repent from sin and return to the Lord, that He may have compassion on you, and to our God. For the Lord will abundantly pardon you. We pray. O Lord, as we have repented and turn back to You. In Your mercy forgive us our sins and answer our prayers. In Jesus name we pray amen.
